The campaign in Marathon 2: Durandal lasts longer than the first game of the saga, with more locations and new enemies. There's also a new weapon: the shotgun. Beyond that, you can carry two weapons simultaneously to double your firepower. Overall, this is a longer and more entertaining campaign that completes the story begun in the original. You'll also need to pay attention to the terminals you find if you want to learn more about what's going on around you. Marathon 2: Durandal was a great FPS in 1995, and it still holds up, thanks in large part to the Aleph One engine's improvements. The best part, however, is that there are several multiplayer modes in addition to the story mode, so you can easily play with your friends.
