Between battles, you can manage and customize your group of heroes. Among the characters you can recruit are Theseus, Cleopatra, William Tell, Robin Hood, Red Riding Hood, and Hercules. You can level all of them up as you win battles, upgrade their attributes, and get new powers. You can also kit them out with more powerful weapons and armor. Returners is an excellent combo of RPG and RTS that offers an original and fun gaming experience. The graphics in the game, as you'll notice immediately, are spectacular – more on par with PC or console games than normal smartphone fare. Special mention for the enormous number of levels in the adventure mode, which should keep you busy for hours and hours.
